Inside the downloaded rar, a file called "README.txt" contains the instructions for proper installation.

You must have an Apache Server and PHP (>= 5.3.0) installed on your system. If you use Windows, I recommend you to install WampServer. This will install and do basic configuration of Apache and PHP.
For other OS, you can use XAMPP.

This guide takes as reference an installation of WampServer. Anyway, I will explain the steps manually when possible.

Once installed, run it and proceed to configure PHP:

  1. Enable the extension "php_openssl":
    • WampServer:
      1. Click on the WampServer icon located on the taskbar.
      2. PHP > PHP extensions > php_openssl.
    • Manual:
      1. Open the "php.ini" file located in the PHP directory.
      2. Find the line that says "extension = php_openssl.dll" and uncomment (remove the ";" in front of it).
      3. Save the changes and close.
  2. Enable "allow_url_fopen":
    • WampServer:
      1. Click on the WampServer icon located on the taskbar.
      2. PHP > PHP settings > allow url fopen.
    • Manual:
      1. Open the "php.ini" file located in the PHP directory.
      2. Find the line that says "allow_url_fopen = Off" and change it to On.
      3. Save the changes and close.
      4. Restart Apache to apply the changes.

Now you have to install BTfind. Simply, extract the rar contents to the WWW folder:

  • WampServer: "\Wamp\www\".
  • XAMPP: "\xampp\htdocs\".

Within WWW has to be the "btfind" folder with the "index.php" and the rest of the content. That's it.
To start the program, open a browser and enter the following URI: http://localhost/btfind/index.php.

Remember that Apache (WAMP/XAMPP) always must be running to make BTfind work.
If in doubt, you can read the F.A.Q. or leave a comment in the feedback.

Just remove the content from "btfind" folder and extract the new one.
